Epic Games Store Unveils Free Game: Super Space Club

May 25,2025 Author: George

The Epic Games Store's free game of the week is here, and this time around, it's Super Space Club by GrahamOfLegend. Get ready to zap enemies as you leap into three different ships and pick from five distinctive pilots. With the arrival of the Epic Games Store on mobile last year, one of the most welcome features of the storefront also came with it: free releases. Arriving weekly, these are free to claim, download, and keep (as long as you're on the Epic Store at least), and this week you can grab Super Space Club and take to the stars to tackle enemy fighters in 2D space combat.

The best way to describe Super Space Club is as a low-poly take on that selfsame space shooter genre. Developed by indie developer GrahamOfLegend (who chronicles his work on his own YouTube channel), it sees you picking from three starfighters and five pilots, each with their own distinctive weapons and style of play. Boasting over 100 different possible combinations of ship, pilot, and skills, you'll need this and all your skills to contend with waves of enemies. As you complete missions, you'll also need to manage your ship's energy, ensuring you're not left dead in the water as easy pickings for the enemy fighters and dangerous bosses.

Super Space Club GameplaySuper Simple: Super Space Club is a good example of how the EGS seems to be tailoring its free releases towards a mobile audience. Simple, straightforward, and boasting plenty of content to explore, Super Space Club looks to be an excellent addition to the space shooter genre.

And if nothing else, Super Space Club shows what interesting new releases you can expect from GrahamOfLegend. Here's hoping that his retro island builder Ourlands will eventually make its way over to mobile, too! Excellent as it may be, however, Super Space Club is only a small snapshot of what came to mobile this week. Why not check out our regular feature of the top five new mobile games to try this week, for hand-picked top launches from the last seven days?
