Final Fantasy XVI's PC Debut: September 17th
Square Enix has officially announced that the acclaimed Final Fantasy XVI will launch on PC on September 17th. This announcement is accompanied by positive projections for the franchise's future PC presence, with the director suggesting potential simultaneous multi-platform releases for upcoming titles.
The PC version of Final Fantasy XVI will be available for $49.99, with a Complete Edition priced at $69.99. The Complete Edition includes the two story expansions: Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. A playable demo is now accessible, offering a preview of the prologue and a combat-focused "Eikonic Challenge" mode. Demo progress carries over to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai revealed that the PC release boasts a "frame rate cap increased to 240fps, and offers a selection of upscaling technologies including NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
