NetEase Games unveiled their charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia presents a whimsical world of floating islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players can cultivate crops, engage in cloud fishing, and personalize their airborne island homes.

A Surprisingly Cute Apocalypse

The game's premise involves a world-ending event, but fear not! This apocalypse is more akin to "My Time at Portia" than "Fallout." The world is fragmented into sky-bound islands, inhabited by humans possessing diverse, and sometimes unusual, superpowers. Players will discover the hidden potential within seemingly insignificant abilities.

As the Island Manager, players will enjoy familiar tasks reminiscent of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley," such as farming, fishing, and decorating. The mobile nature of the island allows for exploration of exotic locations and interactions with new characters.
