A prominent Fortnite leaker recently hinted at a collaboration between the battle royale game and the anime series Kaiju No. 8. This news follows the upcoming arrival of Godzilla on January 17th, obtainable through the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass. His cosmetics won't be available in the Item Shop.
Fortnite's recent Winterfest event and the first major 2025 update introduced new cosmetics and gameplay changes. Players can now use instruments from Fortnite Festival as back blings and pickaxes, and some previously battle royale-exclusive instruments are now usable in the music mode. A local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival has also been added. These updates coincide with numerous rumors about future features and crossovers.
A popular leaker, HYPEX, tweeted about a possible Fortnite and Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. Kaiju No. 8, which began as a manga and received an anime adaptation in 2024 (with a second season planned for 2025), follows Kafka Hibino, a young man who gains kaiju-transforming abilities after encountering a parasitic creature. If the leaks are accurate, Kaiju No. 8 would join other anime like Dragon Ball Z in Fortnite.
Beyond Kaiju No. 8, several leakers suggest a potential Demon Slayer crossover. While details on both anime crossovers remain scarce, many fans anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, and some hope to see characters from both franchises represented within the game's map.
Further leaks indicate the possibility of additional MonsterVerse characters joining Godzilla, including King Kong and Mechagodzilla. With this wave of new content, players eagerly await Epic Games' plans for the remainder of 2025.
