Season 7's Witchcraft Powers enhance gameplay, but their full potential hinges on Occult Gems, offering significant armor and resistance boosts. Crafting these gems requires Fugitive Heads, a rare resource delivered to Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. Along with other materials (1,000 Restless Rot and 50,000 Gem Fragments), a Fugitive Head is essential for crafting.
Acquiring Fugitive Heads requires completing Whisper bounties within the new Headhunt zones. Successfully completing these bounties offers a chance for an Uprooted Cocoon to appear. Defeating the Headrotten Bosses emerging from these cocoons may yield a Fugitive Head—a process heavily reliant on luck.
To improve your odds, utilize the Draught of Whispers Elixir. Obtainable from Exposed Roots, Whispers Cache, and Coven’s Cache, this elixir boosts the Fugitive Head spawn rate by 50% and increases the likelihood of encountering Forgotten Altars.
The Fugitive Head spawn rate is significantly lower on difficulties below Torment. While challenging, tackling Torment difficulty is recommended for a better chance of success, especially for casual players. Remember, Season 7 extends until April, allowing ample time for collection.
