New Game Plus lets players restart their adventure while keeping their hard-earned progress, levels, and gear from previous playthroughs. While this popular feature appears in many modern titles, here's what you should know about its availability in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Currently, Assassin's Creed Shadows does not include a New Game Plus mode. Players looking to replay the story will need to begin a completely new save file without carrying over any previously acquired items or progression.
However, completing the main storyline unlocks free-roam exploration opportunities. You can revisit Feudal Japan to complete outstanding side missions, track down legendary equipment, or encounter rare wildlife that you might have missed during your initial adventure.
The post-game content offers substantial gameplay without requiring New Game Plus. Additionally, since Shadows features a linear narrative without branching storylines or meaningful dialogue consequences, multiple playthroughs don't offer significant narrative variations. Most players will experience everything the game offers through a single comprehensive playthrough.
