The closure is attributed to financial instability and an inability to sustain the game within the fiercely competitive global mobile gaming market. Established titles with loyal player bases pose a significant challenge for new entrants, requiring truly innovative features to thrive. Gran Saga's initial Japanese success failed to translate internationally.
This closure reflects a broader trend of gacha RPG shutdowns. The market's saturation makes it difficult for newer games to compete. Players often stick with familiar titles, leaving newer or niche games vulnerable.
