Get ready, gamers! Microsoft is set to bring Rockstar Games' blockbuster, Grand Theft Auto 5, back to Xbox Game Pass, and for the first time, GTA 5 Enhanced will be available on Game Pass for PC starting April 15. This exciting news was shared via an Xbox Wire post, spotlighting the major highlight of the Wave 1 April 2025 lineup. It's a thrilling update, especially since the PC Game Pass version will include the recently released Enhanced update from Rockstar in early March.
Whether you're playing on console or PC, everyone can dive into the latest update, *Oscar Guzman Flies Again*. This addition lets you soar through the skies by taking control of the McKenzie Field Hanger in Grapeseed. Engage in new arms trafficking missions, pilot new aircraft, and experience more thrilling content as detailed by Xbox.
Just two Tuesdays away, GTA 5's return to Game Pass is highly anticipated, marking a significant comeback for Rockstar's open-world masterpiece, which was previously removed from the service. However, not all fans are celebrating. The GTA 5 Enhanced update, which hit PC on March 4 as a free upgrade, has introduced new vehicles, performance enhancements at Hao’s Special Works, animal encounters, and visual improvements. Despite these additions, it has become Rockstar’s worst-reviewed title on Steam due to ongoing account migration issues that prevent players from transferring their GTA Online profiles to the new version.
Newcomers to Los Santos should have a smooth experience, but returning players hoping to migrate their GTA 5 Online accounts to the Enhanced version might face challenges, as the account migration problems persist.

As Rockstar continues to address the issues surrounding GTA 5's return to Game Pass, you can explore the rest of the Wave 1 April 2025 titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, learn about how Rockstar is fostering the modding community by granting them access to official tools.
