Get ready for exciting changes at Pokémon Center Hiroshima as it prepares to close its doors in March and reopen at a new location in April 2025. Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Gyarados Plaza is set to launch at a new site this March. Let's dive into the details about these new locations!
Pokémon Center Hiroshima Moving to a New Location

Pokémon Center Hiroshima will close its current location by the end of March and will relocate to the "second floor of Ekie, the north exit of Hiroshima Station, around April 2025!" Since its opening in June 2015, the store has been a beloved fixture on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, near the RIHGA Royal Hotel and facing the Hiroshima Prefectural Office.

Simultaneously, the "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" will open its doors at Soramoa Plaza’s rooftop, located on the new Hiroshima Station building called Minamoa. This unique space is described on the Pokémon website as "a plaza where people of all ages can spend time with Pokémon in their own way, including large play equipment modeled after Gyarados, the symbolic Pokémon of Pokémon Center Hiroshima."
Mark your calendars for March 24, 2025, as that's when Gyarados Plaza will open. For a temporary period post-launch, reservations will be required to use the playground equipment. Keep an eye on the official Minamoa website for further details.
If you're planning a visit to Hiroshima, note that the store operates daily from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event in Japan

Before its temporary closure, Pokémon Centers across Japan, including Hiroshima, will host a nationwide event celebrating "Poke-lun TV" reaching over 1 million subscribers.
