The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to be a monumental event for mobile esports enthusiasts. With PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang already confirmed, the summer showdown in Riyadh promises an incredible display of skill and competition with substantial prize pools. Now, adding to the excitement, Honor of Kings is making a grand return to the Esports World Cup.

As part of a prestigious three-year partnership with the EWC, Honor of Kings is bringing back its World Cup with an impressive $3 million prize pool and an enhanced format that promises more thrilling action. The tournament will feature 18 teams from around the world, including top contenders from the King Pro League and Asian Champions League. The event is scheduled to start on July 15th and will run through to July 26th.

The competition will commence with a Group Stage, where 16 teams will be divided into four double-elimination brackets. The top team from each group will advance directly to the Playoffs, while the second-place teams will battle it out in a Last Chance bracket for the remaining two spots.

Matches during the initial rounds will be contested in best-of-three and best-of-five formats, ramping up the intensity as the tournament progresses. The Playoffs, where the champions of the KPL and ACL await, will culminate in a best-of-seven final on August 16th. Additionally, a third-place match will also be featured on the final day.
