Exciting news for Disney fans: The Lion King ride is set to make its debut at Disneyland Paris with a construction start window in Fall 2025. This thrilling addition, as highlighted by the Disney Parks Blog, will be a cornerstone of the newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. The Lion King-themed land will not only feature a captivating water ride that brings iconic scenes from the 1994 classic to life but will also boast a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock. Visitors can look forward to a range of experiences including dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greets, making it a comprehensive entertainment hub.

Concept image of The Lion King ride at Disneyland ParisDisney has released a stunning new concept image of the ride, showcasing Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle environment. This scene is just one highlight of the ride, which will also feature a dramatic 52-foot drop, surpassing the height of Tiana's Bayou Adventure by two inches.

While an exact opening date hasn't been announced, the ride is scheduled to open after the grand unveiling of World of Frozen in 2026. This Lion King attraction is a key component of Disney Adventure World, which will expand to double the current park's size, promising an even more immersive experience for guests.

In addition to The Lion King and World of Frozen attractions, Disney Adventure World will include the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, with Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel. Another exciting addition is the first-ever attraction themed around Up, described as a "spinning carousel" that will offer breathtaking views of the park's scenic surroundings.

World Premiere entrance at Disney Adventure WorldThe new park entrance, World Premiere, is set to open on May 15, 2025, and will transport guests to the glamour of a Hollywood premiere. Adjacent to this, World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and the West End, will feature theaters hosting shows like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
