TouchArcade's Weekly Update Roundup: Noteworthy Game Updates
Hello and welcome to another week of noteworthy game updates! This week, Shaun tackles multiple free-to-play matching puzzle game updates – but don't worry, there's plenty more to explore. Let's dive into the highlights! You can also stay updated by checking the TouchArcade forums.
Peglin (Free): This week's coveted UMMSotW award goes to Peglin! Version 1.0 introduces Cruciball challenges up to level 20, a new Slime Hive mini-boss, and numerous bug fixes, balance tweaks, and improvements.
Brawl Stars (Free): Get ready for Brawl Stars time! SpongeBob SquarePants joins the fray in a new event, alongside the arrival of two new Brawlers: Moe (Mythic) and Kenji (Legendary). Several new Hypercharges are also on the way, rolling out over the next few months.
stitch (Paid): More Hoops await in the latest stitch update! This update features a new set of puzzles with a martial arts theme (sort of). More puzzles are always welcome in a great puzzle game.
Genshin Impact (Free): The Natlan region has arrived in Genshin Impact, bringing with it three new characters (Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina), new weapons, events, stories, and artifacts. A substantial update, but consistent with previous releases.
Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure (Apple Arcade): One hundred new levels are available in this matching puzzle game spin-off, along with refreshed tournaments.
Jetpack Joyride 2 (Apple Arcade): Barry Steakfries blasts off into space in this update! A fittingly cosmic escape from the mundane.
Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop (Free): New character episodes for Sig, Carbuncle, and Rafisol are added to Adventure Mode, alongside a new playable character, Meena (without her own episode). Seven new music tracks are also available.
Hearthstone (Free): Battlegrounds Season 8, "Trinkets & Travels," introduces the Trinket Shop, where players can purchase Trinkets using Gold, impacting the rest of the match.
Toon Blast (Free): Fifty new levels are here, featuring a bee-themed (or perhaps happiness-themed) episode.
Royal Match (Free): One hundred new levels and a new jousting arena await. King Robert's fate remains…uncertain.
