Marvel has unveiled the debut trailer for Ironheart, the highly anticipated MCU series set to premiere on Disney+. Dominique Thorne returns as the titular armored superhero, Riri Williams, after her introduction in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Joining her is Anthony Ramos, who plays the dual role of Parker Robbins / The Hood. The trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into Riri's journey to becoming a standalone superhero, stepping out from her previous supporting role in the MCU.
Parker Robbins / The Hood emerges as a complex character who initially seems to support Riri's growth but harbors deeper, undisclosed motives.
Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, will kick off with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+.
In the trailer, Riri refers to her adventures in Wakanda Forever as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a critical decision prompted by The Hood: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" The trailer showcases Riri suiting up as Ironheart, soaring through the skies, and engaging in high-octane action, including a dramatic scene where she grounds herself to punch a truck, sending it flying overhead.
