Following last month's exciting announcement that John Wick 5 is officially in the works, with Keanu Reeves returning to further develop John's journey, franchise director Chad Stahelski has started dropping hints about what fans can anticipate from the upcoming film. According to Stahelski, viewers should brace themselves for a significant shift in direction, as he described the new installment as "really different" in a recent interview with Empire magazine. This change comes in the wake of wrapping up the High Table storyline that spanned from John Wick 1 through John Wick: Chapter 4.
Warning! Spoilers for John Wick: Chapter 4 follow.
By emphasizing the departure from previous themes, Stahelski aims to keep the franchise fresh and engaging, promising a unique experience for fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in John Wick's saga.
