Marvel Rivals' Spring Festival event kicks off this Thursday! Get ready for a free Star-Lord costume and a brand-new game mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. In this 3v3 showdown, teams battle to score a ball in their opponent's goal.
While the gameplay may evoke comparisons to Rocket League, the mode bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball. This is a noteworthy parallel, as Marvel Rivals is currently striving to establish its unique identity and differentiate itself from its Blizzard counterpart. The choice to feature a similar mode in its inaugural major event is intriguing. However, while Overwatch's Lucioball had an Olympic theme, Marvel Rivals' version boasts a distinct Chinese New Year atmosphere.
The wait is short! The Spring Festival event begins this Thursday.
