Marvel Rivals Unveils Season 1's Sanctum Sanctorum Map: A First Look
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, "Eternal Night Falls," launches January 10th at 1 AM PST, introducing a thrilling new map and game mode. The centerpiece is the Sanctum Sanctorum, Doctor Strange's mystical abode, which will host the new Doom Match mode.
This chaotic free-for-all pits 8-12 players against each other, with the top half emerging victorious. The map itself boasts a unique visual style, blending opulent décor with surreal elements – floating cookware, a refrigerator-dwelling squid-like creature, and other bizarre sights. The video showcases winding staircases, floating bookshelves, and powerful artifacts, all meticulously detailed. Even a portrait of Wong and Doctor Strange's ghost dog, Bats, make appearances.
Beyond the Sanctum Sanctorum, Season 1 also introduces Midtown and Central Park maps. Midtown will be the stage for a new convoy mission, while Central Park's features remain largely under wraps, slated for a mid-season update.
The season's narrative centers around Dracula's menacing presence, with the Fantastic Four stepping up to defend New York City. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman join the roster at launch, followed by Human Torch and The Thing in the mid-season update.
