Mecha BREAK to Unlock All Starting Mechs After Feedback

Jul 09,2025 Author: Mila

Mecha BREAK, the multiplayer mech combat game, recently wrapped up its open beta on Steam, drawing in over 300,000 players and securing its place as the 5th most wishlisted title on the platform. Following this successful test phase, developer Amazing Seasun has been actively reviewing player feedback to determine potential changes for the full release.

Developers Evaluate Player Feedback

One of the key points raised by players during the beta was the limited availability of mechs at the start of the game. Initially, only a single Break Striker (mech) was accessible, with others requiring in-game currency earned through extensive gameplay or purchased using real money. Many players felt that this created a barrier to experiencing the full roster of mechs right from the beginning.

In response to this, the development team is now considering a major change: unlocking all mechs from the very start. This would allow players to freely choose their preferred mech without having to grind through matches or spend extra resources, enhancing both accessibility and enjoyment of the game's variety.

Mecha BREAK May Unlock All Starting Mechs Following Player Feedback

Balancing Free Access and Live Service Model

While the idea of making all mechs available upfront is under serious consideration, Amazing Seasun remains committed to a live service model post-launch. The studio believes this approach is essential for long-term content updates, balance adjustments, and community engagement. Any changes regarding mech access will be carefully balanced to ensure the sustainability of the game while addressing core player concerns.

What’s Next for Mecha BREAK?

The developers are also exploring how mech modules function within competitive modes such as 3v3 and 6v6 battles. These systems are central to customization and strategy, and refining them will be key to ensuring a deep yet fair gameplay experience.
