Navigating the "Cursed" Mission in Metro 2033: A Comprehensive Guide

Metro 2033's "Cursed" mission, set in the challenging Turgenevskaya station, often stumps players due to its unclear objectives and confusing layout. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to help you overcome this obstacle.

The mission begins after a railcar journey. Follow Khan to the defenders near the barricaded escalators.

Locating the Bomb

The defenders explain that a bomb squad went missing while attempting to collapse the tunnel. Your task is to find and detonate the bomb. Expect constant nosalis attacks; retreat to the defenders for support if overwhelmed. The bomb is located at the far end of the right-hand tunnel. Avoid the ghostly shadows to prevent damage. Once you have the bomb, either proceed to the adjacent tunnel or retreat if necessary.

Destroying the Tunnel

To detonate the bomb, enter the left-hand tunnel (from the defenders' perspective) and wait for the cutscene. Artyom will automatically plant and light the fuse; escape the blast zone immediately to avoid death. Alternatively, a grenade or pipe bomb can achieve the same result. Note that nosalises may still enter through other routes.

Destroying the Airlock

The defenders also mention an airlock. To find it, ascend the stairs on the right to the torchlit area. Ignore the nosalises and interact with the support columns to place a pipe bomb. Evacuate immediately after lighting the fuse. With both tunnel entrances destroyed, follow Khan to the shrine room and proceed to the "Armory" mission.
