Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2: A Fresh Batch of Titles

Get ready for a wave of new gaming experiences! Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup, boasting a diverse selection of titles across various genres. This announcement precedes Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, where further day-one Game Pass additions, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed title, will be showcased.

The lineup kicks off January 21st with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Master the slopes solo or compete in eight-player cross-platform multiplayer.

January 22nd brings a flurry of additions:

• Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering cooperative multiplayer fun with adorable flying creatures.
• Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, delivering a 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience.
• Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) launches on Game Pass Standard, a unique Japanese-inspired action strategy game.
• Magical Delicacy (Console) and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console) also debut on Game Pass Standard.
• Tchia (Xbox Series X|S) makes its Game Pass Standard appearance.
• Starbound (Cloud and Console) expands its Game Pass presence to Ultimate and Standard, having already launched on PC Game Pass.

The wave continues on January 28th with two day-one releases:

• Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, a fantasy action-adventure from Yellow Brick Games, featuring a blend of magic and combat.
• Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, a third-person shooter and trap defense game supporting up to four players.

Rounding out the wave:

• Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) on January 29th for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, a surreal adventure game.
• Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) on January 30th, a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering co-op sniping action.
• Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on January 31st, a day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed RPG.
• Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) on February 4th for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, set in a post-apocalyptic Montana.

Games Leaving Game Pass on January 31st, 2025:

Several titles will be departing Game Pass on January 31st to make room for the new additions: Anuchard, Broforce Forever, Darkest Dungeon, Death’s Door, Maquette, and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem. All platforms affected.
