The launch of *MLB The Show 25* heralds the much-anticipated return of Diamond Dynasty mode, where players can assemble dream teams featuring both current stars and baseball legends. As we dive into March 2025, let's explore the top Diamond Dynasty cards and lineups that are making waves right now.
The cards you can grab at the game's launch might not be the ones you'll end up with at the end of *MLB The Show 25*'s cycle, but they're definitely worth your attention early on. Here are some standout Diamond Dynasty cards currently available:
Emerging Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood is a Team Affinity reward that requires some effort to unlock. However, his ability to make solid contact against both left and right-handed pitchers, combined with his power as a corner outfielder, makes him a valuable addition to your lineup's heart.
While Walker Jenkins is a center fielder, you might want to consider him for a different outfield position due to his exceptional bat. With solid contact and power across the board, Jenkins is a great asset despite his average speed.
Clayton Kershaw continues to be a dominant force in *MLB The Show*, returning at the start of *MLB The Show 25* as part of the Anniversary Series. With a solid pitch arsenal, including his signature 12-6 Curve, and an affordable market price, Kershaw is a must-have for budget-conscious players.
Relief pitching is crucial in *MLB The Show 25*'s Diamond Dynasty, and Emmanuel Clase's card stands out. Though his pitch mix isn't the most diverse, his above-average fastball and devastating slider make him an elite closer.
