Exciting times are ahead for Monster Hunter Now enthusiasts as Niantic introduces a new feature for testing: Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in the feedback phase, where players can experience it and provide insights that could shape its final form before a full rollout.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
Mark your calendars for the testing phase of Monster Outbreaks, scheduled from April 26th to April 27th. The event will take place twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., based on your local time. During these windows, specific locations on the game map will transform into outbreak points, teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Team up with other players to take down 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak location within the one-hour timeframe. Note that this is a local target, not a global one, and only hunters with a Hunter Rank (HR) of 11 or higher can participate. Importantly, traditional party features won't work; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal.
To help you locate these outbreaks, they're marked with a unique icon on the map. By tapping on these icons, you can view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters, potentially earning an exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal for your participation.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the Monster Outbreaks are intriguing. For instance, if you and three other hunters successfully defeat one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the collective goal of 100. Should your group reach this target before the hour ends, the hunt can continue, with only Black Diablos appearing during these outbreaks.
The rewards for successfully hitting the 100-monster mark are enticing, including 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, those who utilize the sign-up roster can also earn the special Outbreak Test I Medal.
If you're eager to join in on the action, download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and participate in the Monster Outbreaks testing over the weekend. Don't miss out on this thrilling new feature and the chance to influence its development!
