Monster Hunter Wilds 2nd Open Beta Test Date Revealed

Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced

Capcom has unveiled the dates for the second open beta of its highly anticipated title, Monster Hunter: Wilds. This two-weekend beta, running in February 2025, offers players another opportunity to experience the expansive open world before the game's official launch on February 28th, 2025.

Building on the success of the first beta (late 2024), this iteration will include returning content and exciting new additions. The game, poised to be a flagship entry in the franchise, promises a vast open world teeming with diverse ecosystems and challenging monsters. The initial beta showcased narrative elements and character creation, allowing players to hunt select creatures within the tutorial.

Beta Dates and Platforms:

The second open beta will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam across two weekends:

  • February 6th, 2025, 7:00 PM PT – February 9th, 2025, 6:59 PM PT
  • February 13th, 2025, 7:00 PM PT – February 16th, 2025, 6:59 PM PT

Beta Content:

Capcom has confirmed the return of all content from the first beta, including character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A new challenge awaits with the addition of a Gypceros hunt, a fan-favorite monster returning to the series. Furthermore, characters created during the first beta will be transferable, eliminating the need for recreation.

Addressing Player Feedback:

While the first beta received positive feedback, Capcom acknowledges player concerns regarding visuals and weapon mechanics. The developer assures players that improvements are underway based on community feedback, aiming to polish the game before its release.

This second beta serves as a crucial step for both Capcom and fans. It offers another chance to refine the gameplay experience and build anticipation for what promises to be a landmark entry in the Monster Hunter franchise. Whether a returning veteran or a newcomer, February 2025 is shaping up to be a thrilling month for monster hunters.
