Conquer the vast world of Rune Slayer, the Roblox MMORPG brimming with quests, crafting, dungeons, and even fishing! But no true MMORPG is complete without a trusty mount, and Rune Slayer delivers. While acquiring one isn't overly complex, the game doesn't exactly spell it out. Fear not, this guide will show you the way.
Recommended Prep Work Before Mounting Up
Before you start galloping across the landscape, ensure you meet these prerequisites:
- Reach Level 20: This shouldn't take more than a few hours of questing, job completion, and mob slaying. A few friends can significantly speed this up.
- Tame a Pet: You'll receive a quest explaining the process, but here's the gist:
- Find a tamable animal (deer, wolf, spider, etc.).
- Attack it once.
- Hold a food item the animal enjoys (apples for deer, raw deer meat for wolves).
- Watch for a heart above its head. A fully grown heart means success; a blackened heart means you'll need to try again with a different animal.
Once you've leveled up and tamed a companion, you're ready for the next step.
Completing the Mount Quest
Upon reaching level 20, visit Jimmy the Stable Master in Wayshire. He'll offer the "Jimmy's Delivery" quest, requiring you to transport a package to the Ashenshire Stable Master. Head north from Wayshire, following the path through Greatwood Forest (avoid straying too far; the mobs here can be challenging). Continue north until you reach Ashenshire, identifiable by its large treetop houses.
Find the rope leading upward and climb. The first NPC you encounter will be Madonna the Stable Master. Interact with her, select "I have a package for you," and she'll accept it. Retrace your steps back to Wayshire.
Upon your return, speak with Jimmy; he'll reward you with a saddle. It won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.
Mounting Your Pet
Summon your pet (hold "T"), approach it, and select "Mount" (press "E"). Enjoy your high-speed travel across Rune Slayer! This works with all mountable pets.
