NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to powerful options such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique to the game, but one stands out for Square Enix fans: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats, accessible during your first playthrough.
The Engine Blade awaits within the factory, but not during the game's initial sequence. You'll need to progress as 2B and revisit the area. Chapter Select (Chapter 9) offers a shortcut. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.
Exiting the access point, take the right path (2D camera perspective). Pass a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and navigate conveyor belts with moving boxes and potentially lethal presses. Jump to the next cylinder, evading spider-like enemies.
Enter the door to your left, climbing stairs while dodging exploding enemies. A railing ends midway; the platform extends towards the camera. Shift the camera angle to initiate another 2D platforming section, traversing above presses to the left. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest.
Caution: Exploding enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach.
- Attack: 160-200
This weapon boasts four upgrade levels, culminating in a 7-hit light combo (requires finding Masamune). Unlike the Iron Pipe, its damage range is tighter, offering more predictable damage output.
