Following months of speculation, Nintendo unveiled its next-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2. A brief teaser showcased a refined design retaining the hybrid functionality of its predecessor, but with key enhancements.
The teaser highlighted a larger screen, a more robust kickstand, and magnetically attaching Joy-Cons—a significant departure from the original Switch's rail system. An additional USB-C port on the console itself was also confirmed.
Backward compatibility is confirmed for both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games, although Nintendo acknowledges that some titles may have limited or no support on the Switch 2.
