Exciting news for fans of the Persona series: Persona 5: The Phantom X is set to expand its horizons with an English version coming soon. The game's new official Twitter (X) account has announced an upcoming livestream that promises to reveal more details about what fans can expect from this highly anticipated release.
The journey of Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) towards a global audience continues as a dedicated social media account for the English version has been launched. This account hinted at a major announcement during their first livestream scheduled for May 15 at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus' official Western YouTube channel. Fans eager for the release date of the English version should mark their calendars and tune in.
Below is a handy timetable to help you find out when the stream starts in your region:
The livestream is set to be a star-studded event, featuring special guests from the game's cast, including Kaede Hondo, the voice of Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, the voice of Yui. They will be joined by key figures from the development team such as P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda, Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, and Development Producer Jun Matsunaga and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.
P5X initially launched in selected regions in April 2024. Speculation is rife that the Western release date might be unveiled during this upcoming stream, especially after the developers teased their plans for English localization during the game's first anniversary livestream. The official account has also hinted that while the release date for Japan will definitely be announced, fans should stay tuned to find out about the Western release.
In addition to the English version, the livestream will shed more light on the upcoming Japanese (JP) release of P5X. Atlus confirmed during the game's first anniversary celebration that the Japanese version will launch in Summer 2025, with pre-registrations already open on the JP website.
Furthermore, Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese global holding company and conglomerate, included P5X in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12, indicating that the game is slated for release "In or after FY2026/3" (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026), with a target launch this summer.
With the Japanese release on the horizon, the global launch of Persona 5: The Phantom X seems imminent. Stay tuned to our site for the latest updates and detailed information about this exciting release.
