Challenge Mode puts even the most experienced Phasmophobia ghost hunters to the test, with the Do As I Command Challenge serving as a perfect example. If you want to understand the mechanics before trying it yourself, here's your complete guide to completing this challenge.
Challenge Mode presents weekly special contracts in Phasmophobia with unique conditions and equipment restrictions. These challenges reset every Sunday, offering fresh trials for players to overcome. The difficulty varies significantly - while some resemble standard investigations, others will push your ghost-hunting abilities to their limits through altered ghost behavior and severely limited equipment.
To fully complete a weekly challenge, you must successfully fulfill the contract requirements three separate times (not necessarily consecutively) before the weekly reset. Correctly identifying the ghost type each attempt is mandatory for progress, though optional objectives aren't required - though completing them earns extra points valuable for character prestige.
Successfully finishing all three runs of a weekly challenge earns you a $5,000 base reward plus any additional points earned during your investigations.
The Do As I Command challenge stands out as one of Phasmophobia's more manageable weekly tests. Unlike more extreme challenges, it maintains relatively normal ghost behavior while simply requiring you to actively coax evidence from a less responsive spirit. The challenge specifically takes place on the standard Sunny Meadows map (the Restricted version isn't permitted).
You'll receive a complete Tier 3 equipment loadout at no cost, and the location's fuse box remains operational - be sure to activate it immediately upon arrival. While Sunny Meadows presents its usual challenges for ghost detection, this challenge offers a significant advantage: full access to all seven Cursed Possessions.
Unlike most challenges that restrict these powerful tools, all seven Cursed Possessions are conveniently gathered in the chapel area. Items like the Haunted Mirror or Ouija Board can quickly reveal the ghost's location, while the Voodoo Doll or Monkey Paw can provoke needed ghost activity. However, use these items cautiously as they carry risks including sanity drain and potential cursed hunts.
