Physics-Based Spider Sandbox A Webbing Journey Launches on Android

A Webbing Journey has officially arrived on Android today. Following its demo’s launch in 2022 and surpassing 3.5 million downloads, the full mobile version is now available. This physics-based sandbox adventure game is also currently accessible in Early Access on Steam.
The project began as a simple experiment focused on navigating space using silk threads. Developed by indie studio Fire Totem Games, this latest mobile release has achieved feature parity with its PC version.
A Webbing Journey prioritizes sandbox gameplay over task-oriented objectives
Players guide Silky, a tiny spider exploring an oversized home. Using webs to swing between rooms, manipulate objects, and help human roommates with chores that are massive relative to the spider’s size.
Routine tasks like baking cookies, washing dishes, or watering plants transform into physics puzzles when viewed from the perspective of a creature capable of moving on walls, ceilings, inverted surfaces, and even underwater environments.
Each area introduces unique mechanics and characters. The kitchen, attic, office, and living room each possess distinct identities while remaining part of one interconnected home.
The house itself serves as a dense playground packed with hundreds of physics-based interactive items. Players can move, break, or connect nearly everything using webbing, allowing for the construction of structures spanning from wall to wall or floor to ceiling.
The swinging mechanics promote fluid movement, while an emphasis on experimentation ensures the environment reacts visibly to player actions. Over 100 unique tasks and oversized chores are scattered throughout the game.
Take a look at the gameplay here.
A Webbing Journey encourages exploration through numerous hidden elements, with countless secrets distributed across seven distinct rooms in the house. Customization options allow players to adjust Silky’s appearance using accessories such as hats and shoes, alongside varying levels of fluffiness and color choices.
The Android version includes two additional levels beyond previous releases, plus three sandbox stages. The game operates on a free-to-start model, offering levels either through individual purchases or by unlocking them via advertisements. Discover it now on the Google Play Store.
