Plants vs Zombies is celebrating a monumental milestone—16 years of battling it out in the backyard! The celebration kicks off from Neighborville, where it all began with the first peashooter taking aim and the epic war for the backyard starting.
To commemorate this special occasion, EA is rolling out some fantastic discounts. Head over to the PvZ shop, where Dave’s Secret Stash is slashing prices by up to 33% on packs. Plus, there’s a sweet 20% off on Mini Games, perfect for anyone who loves planting peas or chowing down on brains.
The developers are also pulling back the curtain, sharing heartwarming behind-the-scenes stories from the creators and dedicated fans who've been defending their lawns since day one. These tales highlight the game's quirky characters and the never-ending plant puns that fans adore.
But the highlight of the Plants vs Zombies Sweet 16 celebration might just be the official celebration video. It's a heartfelt tribute to the community that has been enjoying the game for over a decade. Watch zombies disco-dance and teleport in this fun-filled tribute.

Back in 2009, Popcap Games introduced Plants vs Zombies to the world on desktop. It was quirky, it was hilarious, and it hooked players instantly. The sight of sunflowers beaming while zombies in traffic cones shuffled across the lawn was a hit.
The game then made the leap to mobile in 2010, and by 2012, EA had acquired Popcap. In 2013, Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time launched, bringing new worlds and zany mechanics into the mix.
Meanwhile, Plants vs Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbia has been in development since 2020. It went through a soft launch but was later pulled back for a rework. The team is now working on a fresh art style and aims to revive the classic tower defense feel.
If it's been a while since you last defended your lawn, why not jump back into the action? You can grab Plants vs Zombies from the Google Play Store. And while you're at it, don't forget to check out our latest news on Honkai's upcoming game, Honkai: Nexus Anima.
