Pokémon Go’s February 2025 Community Day event will feature Karrablast and Shelmet

Apr 05,2025 Author: Claire

Karrablast and Shelmet will take center stage during February's Pokémon Go Community Day, set for Sunday, February 9th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. During this event, you'll have a higher chance of encountering these Pokémon in the wild, and if luck is on your side, you might even spot their Shiny variants. As with all Community Days, expect the usual bonuses and additional research tasks to enhance your experience.

By catching enough Karrablast and Shelmet during the event, you'll have the opportunity to evolve them into Escavalier and Accelgor, respectively, with exclusive charged attacks. Escavalier will gain the powerful Razor Shell, boasting 35 power in Trainer Battles and 55 in gyms and raids, while Accelgor will learn Energy Ball, with a consistent 90 power across all battle types.

For those looking to dive deeper into the event, a Community Day Special Research story is available for purchase at $2 or its local equivalent. This ticket not only offers encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet against a unique Dual Destiny-themed Special Background but also includes additional encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, and Rare Candy XL.

ytDon't miss out on the free Timed Research quest available to those who log in during the event. It provides another opportunity to encounter the featured Pokémon and increases your chances of finding their Shiny forms. Additionally, you can take advantage of Pokémon Go codes to claim some free rewards.

Throughout the three-hour event window, you'll benefit from several bonuses, including triple XP and double Candy for catching Pokémon. Trainers level 31 and above will have an increased chance of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and trading will be more advantageous with one additional Special Trade and a 50% reduction in Stardust costs.

Engage with Community Day-themed Field Research for rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet. Keep an eye out for PokéStop Showcases, another fun way to participate in the event.

Lastly, if you're looking to prepare, two Community Day bundles will be available in the in-game shop, and an Ultra Community Day Box will be up for grabs on the Pokémon Go Web Store starting February 3rd.
