Pokémon Go Dynamax Confirmed for Max Out Season

Pokémon GO has officially announced the addition of Dynamax Pokémon as part of the upcoming Max Out season. Read on to learn more about the announcement and the upcoming new season of the game.

Pokémon Go Dynamax Confirmed for Max Out Season

Pokémon GO has announced the addition of Dynamax Pokémon to the upcoming Max Out season. This new feature will be accompanied by a variety of in-game activities and rewards, allowing you to GO big! The Max Out season will begin on September 10 at 10:00 AM local time and end on September 15, 2024 at 8:00 PM local time.

Additionally, as Max Out begins, Pokémon GO will debut the following Dynamax 'mons in 1-star Max battles. Trainers will be able to fight and capture the following Dynamax versions:
⚫︎ Bulbasaur
⚫︎ Charmander
⚫︎ Squirtle
⚫︎ Squirtle
⚫︎ Sheepboy

These Pokémon Once captured, it can be Dynamaxed with its evolved form. There is also a chance to encounter their Shiny variants during these battles. With this update, Pokémon GO will launch special field missions during the event. Trainers will also be able to participate in PokéStop Showcases, where they can enter event-themed Pokémon for a chance to win rewards.

In addition, seasonal special research stories will be launched soon. Trainers can complete these Max battle-focused missions to earn rewards such as Max Particles, a new avatar item, and more. Special studies can be claimed from September 3 at 10:00 AM local time to December 3, 2024 at 9:59 AM local time.

Pokémon Go Dynamax Confirmed for Max Out Season

An exclusive Max Particle Pack Bundle, which includes 4,800 Max Particles, will be available on the official Pokémon GO web store for $7.99 starting September 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. PDT. These Max Particles will be important in the new Dynamax battles.

Additionally, rumors suggest that new Power Spots will start appearing in the game next month, though Niantic has not given word on the speculation. These Power Spots will be key locations where trainers can engage in Max Battles, catch Dynamax Pokémon, and gather more Max Particles.

Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla has revealed during a press briefing that some of the Pokémon with Dynamax capabilities will also be able to Mega Evolve, according to a report by Eurogamer. However, on the other hand, there’s still no information on when or if Gigantamax Pokémon will be added to Pokémon GO, though this mechanic was also teased during this year's Pokémon Worlds. Nonetheless, Niantic promised to share more details about Dynamax battles in the coming days.
