Yamada Heiando, a celebrated Japanese lacquerware maker, partnered with The Pokémon Company to create these exquisite bowls. Employing traditional techniques, they've crafted bowls representing the Chinese Zodiac animals: Pikachu (Rat), Ekans (Snake), and Dragonite (Dragon).
These bowls, described by the company as "gentle guardians watching over you and your children during dinner," are designed with babies and children in mind. Yamada Heiando hopes these bowls will become cherished keepsakes, celebrating a child's growth and happiness.
Each bowl is also linked to a specific aspect of child development: Pikachu embodies kindness, Ekans symbolizes growth, and Dragonite represents openness.
Initially released on January 17, 2025, these beautiful bowls sold out almost instantly. A second sales period begins January 31st, offering another chance to purchase. Please note: a two-item purchase limit per person applies.
Each set costs 16,500 JPY (approximately $105 USD). International shipping is available, with additional charges depending on packaging size, peak season surcharges, and fuel costs.
