Get Ready for Black and White Kyurem and Shiny Meloetta in Pokémon GO's Unova Tour!
Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, alongside the debut of Shiny Meloetta! Learn how to catch and fuse these legendary Pokémon below.
Legendary Pokémon Debut
Following the December 2024 announcement of the Unova Tour (February 2025), Niantic has revealed the exciting addition of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees of the in-person events in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to capture Kyurem and then fuse it into its Black or White forms.

After catching a base Kyurem, players can fuse it using:
Fusion Energies are obtained by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base form is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom will have increased encounter rates during the event.
The global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, and is free for all players.
Shiny Meloetta Arrives!
Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter this Pokémon. The research doesn't expire, allowing for completion at your own pace.
Unova's Iconic Legendaries
Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White, the fifth generation of Pokémon games. Black and White 2 introduced Kyurem's alternate forms, capable of learning Ice Burn and Freeze Shock, mirroring their Pokémon GO counterparts. This event brings a complete Unova experience to Pokémon GO!
