Nintendo has been busy expanding the Switch 2 library with a mix of exclusives and upgraded versions of beloved titles. Heavy hitters like Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World are leading the charge, while enhanced editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are optimized for the new hardware.
Other notable preorders include the new Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, along with third-party offerings like Cyberpunk 2077 and Sonic X Shadow Generations.
PSA: Not everything will drop on launch day, June 5. While some titles will be available on day one, others will follow later. For example, Donkey Kong Bananza arrives on July 17, and major titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A are still absent from preorder listings.

Nintendo has confirmed the pricing for upgrading two Switch games to the Switch 2 edition: Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree. Prices vary, with the UK Nintendo eShop showing upgrades for £16.99 / €19.99, significantly higher than the £7.99 / €9.99 cost for upgrading Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Most third-party physical Switch 2 games in the US are Game-Key Cards, similar to Japan. Exceptions include Cyberpunk 2077, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, and No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES Aiba Edition.
