The wait is over! Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards are available for preorder, starting at 6 AM PT on January 30th. Leading the charge are the top-tier RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs, with the mid-range RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti models arriving later in February.
Be warned: launch-day stock is expected to vanish quickly. Retailers have already cautioned about limited inventory, and past Nvidia launches have been plagued by bots snapping up cards for resale at inflated prices. If you're ready to buy and lucky enough to find one in stock, don't hesitate!
Pre-built PCs featuring the RTX 5090 might offer a more readily available (though pricier) alternative.

The retailers listed above offer the RTX 5090 and 5080, but stock is unpredictable. To maximize your chances, check each retailer and purchase the first card you can successfully add to your cart. Competition will be fierce!
See it at Best Buy!Best Buy is often a good option for securing an RTX card, particularly the Founder's Edition. Availability depends on your region.
See it at Newegg!Newegg typically offers a wide selection of AIB (third-party manufacturer) cards. Check for both standalone cards and bundle deals.
See it at Nvidia! The Nvidia Store often sells out quickly. Consider registering for notifications or checking for potential invites.
See it at Amazon!Amazon's inventory is less predictable. Always buy directly from Amazon, not third-party sellers.
See it at Adorama!Adorama offers both standalone cards and pre-built PCs. Shipping times may be longer than other retailers.
See it at B&H Photo!Similar to Adorama, B&H Photo offers a selection of cards, but shipping times may vary.
See it at Micro CenterFor those near a Micro Center, in-store purchase is your best bet for launch-day acquisition.
The RTX 50-series GPUs, announced at CES 2025, emphasize AI features. While offering a performance boost, the generational leap is smaller than in previous generations. DLSS 4 provides significant performance gains in supported games.
Our reviews highlight the RTX 5090's performance crown, albeit a modest one compared to its predecessor. The RTX 5080 offers a solid upgrade for users with older hardware, particularly those who utilize DLSS 4.
