PUBG Mobile 4.1 Frost Festival Adds Penguins

  • The Frost Festival makes a grand return in the absolutely packed Version 4.1 update.
  • Penguins arrive with PowNin, your very own AI companion for the battle.
  • A variety of themed events, challenges, and exclusive rewards await players.

Winter is arriving early in PUBG Mobile, bringing horsepower and penguins along for the ride. The Version 4.1 update launches today, featuring a brand-new Porsche collaboration that's already live, setting the stage for a season defined by speed, snow, and a touch of mayhem across the battlegrounds.

The main attraction is the Frost Festival, a complete winter-themed takeover running until January 5th. It introduces Frosty Funland, a new seasonal mode that transforms Erangel, Livik, and Vikendi into snowy wonderlands, engineered by the most unlikely of crews – penguins.

These tuxedoed builders have fled their melting homeland to construct Penguinville, complete with icy trails, festive trials, and the debut of PowNin, your Ninja Penguin companion who can heal, fight, and even snack on sardines mid-combat. You can command PowNin using voice or quick text commands, a feature that feels like impressive AI or pure holiday enchantment.

The Frosty Funland trial also adds a layer of festive urgency, challenging squads to collect and deliver party invites across the map before time runs out. Successfully completing the trial unlocks exclusive achievements and a special celebration sequence. Essentially, you earn serious bragging rights with a festive bow on top.

Then, in mid-December, the Frost Festival Event kicks into high gear, featuring themed decorations, musical vehicles, and a visit to Wintercrest Hall where you can gather supplies and light fireworks for a global penguin charity initiative. Once the community hits the donation milestone, PUBG Mobile will contribute $100,000 to penguin conservation efforts, a heartwarming seasonal gesture amidst the in-game explosions.

Meanwhile, Classic Mode receives a mechanical overhaul. Firearms now have more realistic bullet drop and sound adjustments, while the new Boatyard on Erangel and the Loot Truck system refresh the flow of mid-match gameplay. The PMGC-themed zones also make a comeback, offering photo opportunities and supply packs to keep the atmosphere both festive and competitive.

PUBG Mobile's Version 4.1 update is a massive content drop that will surely keep players engaged throughout the upcoming holiday season.
