Mastering Crew Recruitment in Citizen Sleeper 2

This guide details how to acquire every crew member in Citizen Sleeper 2. Remember, while recruitment is usually straightforward (accepting their offer to join), success in certain Contracts or events might influence your ability to recruit specific characters. Also note that you can lose crew members through unlucky rolls or miss opportunities entirely. Please comment if you discover alternative recruitment methods!

Initial Crew:

Serafin and Bliss are automatically added to your crew and are not tied to any achievements. Note that Serafin is generally unavailable for Contracts.

Recruiting Juni:

Juni initially joins temporarily on Hexport. To permanently recruit her, visit Helion Gate after completing the "Idle Minds" clock at Solheim Records. A cutscene will trigger, followed by a Contract. Agree to let Juni rejoin your ship. This unlocks the "Data Archaeologist" achievement.

Recruiting Yu-Jin:

Find Yu-Jin on Far Spindle after completing the "Getting Wracked" clock at Gaia's Gyre (requires ordering a Wrack four times, costing 16 Cryo). Complete his subsequent Contract to permanently recruit him. This unlocks the "The Freelancer" achievement.

Recruiting Luis:

During the "Aphelion Beacon" Contract, choose to leave Yu-Jin behind to recruit Luis. This unlocks the "Signalchaser" achievement.

Recruiting Kadet:

Meet Kadet on Far Spindle after completing the "Spindle Core" clock at the Spindle Core location. This unlocks a new drive and Stripline Express. Complete the new options at Stripline Express, triggering a cutscene. Then, travel to the Scatteryards to recruit Kadet. This unlocks the "The Spindlejack" achievement.

Recruiting Femi or Nia:

You can recruit either Femi or Nia, but not both. You'll initially meet Nia on Hexport, also encountering Femi. Later, on Floatsam, Femi will offer a Contract to ensure Nia's safety. Complete the Contract; your choice at the end determines who joins your crew. Recruiting Femi unlocks the "Big Brother" achievement; recruiting Nia unlocks the "Little Sister" achievement.

Recruiting Flint:

After your first visit to Olivera, a Contract will lead you to investigate Flint's disappearance. This will lead to another Contract requiring quick action to set a trap. Follow Xander to rescue Flint and succeed in the Contract to recruit him. This unlocks the "Fugitive" achievement.
