The developer confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Trailer 2 amassed an unprecedented 475 million views across all platforms within its first 24 hours. This monumental figure surpasses all major Hollywood trailer debuts, including Deadpool & Wolverine's 365 million views and The Fantastic Four: First Steps' 200 million. Even last year's record-breaking Superman trailer, which garnered over 250 million views, now sits in second place behind Rockstar's latest reveal.
It's important to highlight that GTA 6's first trailer, which originally launched exclusively on YouTube with 93 million first-day views, previously held the title for largest non-music video debut. At publication time (May 8), Trailer 2 has accumulated 85,276,196 views on Rockstar's official YouTube channel alone.
IGN previously reported the staggering viral impact on The Pointer Sisters' Hot Together following its feature in GTA 6 Trailer 2. Spotify streaming data revealed a jaw-dropping 182,000% increase in global plays for the 1986 hit within just two hours of the trailer's release.
