Sony Bravia X93L Review by Jaron Schneider:

"The Sony X93L isn’t cheap, but largely earns its price through very good image quality powered by top-tier processing that results in a fantastic gaming experience."

The Sony Bravia XR X93L was released in March 2023. It stands as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup at that time, only surpassed by the X95L, which was exclusively available in an 85" screen size in the United States. The X93L utilizes Mini LED technology, which significantly enhances the viewing of HDR content. The technology involves an array of LEDs that can independently turn on and off, thus improving black levels and contrast ratios. In Mini-LED panels, the LEDs are smaller and more numerous, enabling finer control of brightness within the same scene.

The X93L is also an excellent choice for gamers. It features four HDMI ports, with two supporting the HDMI 2.1 specification. HDMI 2.1 allows for 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for current-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Note that the upcoming Switch 2 will be limited to 60fps in 4K when docked, so HDMI 2.1 isn't necessary for that system.

For Android smartphone users, the Sony Bravia XR X93L's integration of the Google TV smart interface is a significant advantage. It's user-friendly and efficient, and you can even use your Android device as a remote.
