Sonic Rumble is making waves even before its global launch, introducing an exciting crossover event titled Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event is live from now until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide release on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries. It underwent two pre-launch phases: the first in Summer 2024 in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia, and the second in Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and additional regions.
What’s in Store?
If you're in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you can now participate in the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, offering a free Werewolf transformation. Nostalgic fans can also acquire the Werebear and Weredragon transformations. The Weredragon is available through the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.
Adding a touch of Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the fray. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, and Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which cost 700 standard rings each. Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee also make an appearance in the crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need 729 Red Star Rings. Check out the crossover event in action below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos in matches. Although it might seem unusual for the event to go live before the global release, SEGA has confirmed that most of these pre-release rewards will be available again later.
This initial crossover event showcases a deep dive into SEGA’s rich history, featuring a mix of monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and transformed beasts alongside Sonic and his friends, making Sonic Rumble an eagerly anticipated title.
You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now or wait for its release on May 8th in your region.
