Shining Revelry Expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket Announced, Coming Soon

May 12,2025 Author: Leo

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I'm always deeply engaged when a new set is released and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn after securing around 40 wins. After that, my routine shifts to logging in daily, opening my packs, participating in a Wonder Pick for the fun of it, and then moving on until the next day. This cycle is set to restart with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will introduce 110 new cards to TCG Pocket, featuring a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The highlight of this expansion, as hinted by its name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of your favorite creatures. For instance, Lucario appears in yellow instead of blue, and Pachirisu boasts a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers a sneak peek at what's to come. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will debut with 180 HP and an attack named Steam Artillery, delivering a massive 150 damage. However, it requires five energy to use, which is quite demanding. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards in a single turn, making it more manageable.

Another notable addition is Lucario Ex. Previously seen in a supporting role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this version of the Aura Pokemon is now ready for direct combat. With 150 HP, it might not seem exceptional, but its Aura Sphere attack could be game-changing. For three Fighting Energy, it deals 100 damage to the active Pokemon and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

The trailer also showcases other cards that might not be game-changers but are visually appealing and exciting nonetheless. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are coming, and they look fantastic. Additionally, there's a stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available on the App Store and Google Play, offering a free-to-play experience with in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
