Simply hold down the Y key on your keyboard, or the back button on your controller, for approximately one second to skip a cutscene. If you're using a less common control scheme, briefly press a few buttons during a cutscene; the required input will be displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.
Need a closer look? You can pause cutscenes at any time. However, since many Wilds cutscenes are integral to the narrative, skipping them is best reserved for subsequent playthroughs.
For those who missed something or want a second viewing, all cutscenes are accessible via the in-game menu. Rewatching them out of order might slightly disrupt the narrative flow, but it's a great way to appreciate the game's impressive monster introductions and snag some stunning screenshots.
