Hazelight Studios, known for its excellent couch co-op games, has released their latest title, Split Fiction. A key question on many players' minds is whether this game can be enjoyed solo. The answer, unfortunately, is no.
Like previous Hazelight Studios games, Split Fiction heavily emphasizes cooperative gameplay, either online or via local couch co-op. There's no single-player mode, AI companion, or workaround to play alone. The intricate timing and coordination required make solo play virtually impossible, even with multiple controllers.
However, Hazelight provides a convenient solution: the Friend's Pass. This allows a friend to join your game, regardless of platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC). Here's how it works:
The Friend's Pass supports cross-platform play via PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app. Even using your EA Friends list works. This makes it easy for friends to experience Split Fiction's co-op gameplay before purchasing their own copy.
Split Fiction launches March 6th on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
