Hearthstone's massive Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, boasting a record-breaking 49 new cards, launches January 21st. This expansion, unveiled at the November 13th, 2024 Warcraft Direct, bridges the gap between Hearthstone and StarCraft, introducing class and multi-class cards representing the iconic StarCraft factions: Zerg, Protoss, and Terran.
The Mini-Set includes three cards for each Hearthstone class. Zerg cards (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Warlock) focus on swarming Zerglings and leveraging Hydralisks for devastating area-of-effect damage. Protoss cards (Druid, Mage, Priest, Rogue) manipulate mana, enabling the deployment of powerful cards like the Carrier. Terran cards (Paladin, Shaman, Warrior) utilize the Starship mechanic from The Great Dark Beyond, introducing new Starship Pieces and strategies. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the set. Card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to the launch.
Release Date and Cost:
- January 21st
- Complete Mini-Set: $20 or 2500 gold (all-Golden version: $80 or 12,000 gold)
- Individual Faction Packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg): $10 or 1200 gold
The increased card count reflects a slightly higher price point compared to previous Mini-Sets. However, the option to purchase individual faction packs offers players greater flexibility.
