While specific details remain under wraps, the post promises exciting developments for the year ahead, hinting at significant additions based on player feedback.
Game director Todd Howard previously suggested an annual DLC release schedule in a June 2024 interview with MrMattyPlays. This, combined with the recent announcement, fuels speculation that the upcoming update might include a new DLC expansion.
Starfield's 2023 release garnered critical acclaim but also mixed reviews, with some players finding it fell short of the experience offered by previous Bethesda titles like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Despite this, it became a top-selling game of 2023.
