Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Gets Final Major Content Update

Summary

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update, Season 4 Episode 8, for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, this update concludes the game's live service content. While servers will remain online, no further content will be developed.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, launched in February 2024 to mixed reception, will see its online support end on January 14th, less than a year after release. The decision, announced December 9th, 2024, attributed the game's short lifespan to its unexpected live-service elements. Despite this, Rocksteady assures players that all online features will remain accessible.

Following a brief period of server downtime, Season 4 Episode 8: Balance is now live. This final update introduces a Libra-themed Infamy Set, powerful Notorious weapons, and a climactic Mayhem mission against Brainiac. It also includes numerous bug fixes and gameplay improvements, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.

Even with the end of content updates, players can still enjoy Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League offline. The Season 4 Episode 7 update introduced offline play, allowing access to the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. While a complete server shutdown hasn't been announced, offline play ensures continued accessibility.

For those yet to experience the game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3rd, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Explore expanded medieval Elseworld content in Episode 8: Balance, featuring new locations and twists on familiar areas. Conquer The Quarry, a fortified citadel, in your final battle against Brainiac. The Arena offers a unique setting for both tournaments and interdimensional warfare, while statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van add to the atmosphere.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

Inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, this Infamy Set utilizes "Scales of Libra" stacks on enemies. Each stack increases both damage dealt and received by 50%, creating a high-risk, high-reward playstyle.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

  • The Silencer’s Complete Silence: Deals 200% bonus damage to enemies with Scales of Libra stacks. Its Alt-Fire delivers 1000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100%.

  • Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets: Piercing bullets apply Scales of Libra stacks and electrify enemies, ideal for eliminating multiple targets at once.

  • Chronos’ Equilibrium: Deals 25% bonus damage for each 1% of missing shield, rewarding aggressive play.

  • Reduced the duration of Deathstroke's Suicide Strike against certain enemies.
  • Decreased XP requirements for Squad Levels; retroactive rewards granted.
