Industry sources suggest the Switch 2's launch won't occur before April 2025. GamesIndustry.biz reported that developers have been advised to not anticipate a release within the current fiscal year (ending March 2025). Many developers reportedly hope for an April or May launch, aiming for an early, rather than late, release next year.
This projected timeframe might be a strategic move to avoid competing with other major game releases, such as the anticipated "GTA 6," slated for a Fall 2025 release. Journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe further speculates a pre-August 2024 announcement from Nintendo, as reported by BGR. This aligns with Nintendo's stated intention to announce the Switch 2 before the end of its current fiscal year (March 31, 2025). However, these are unconfirmed reports, pending official confirmation from Nintendo.
