Unlock All Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds: A Guide

For all the completionists and trophy hunters out there, you’ll be thrilled to discover that *Monster Hunter Wilds* offers some challenging achievements to conquer. We're here to guide you through unlocking every hidden achievement in the game.

All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds

*Monster Hunter Wilds* features 12 secret achievements. Seven of these are tied to the main story and will unlock naturally as you progress through the game. The remaining five are linked to optional objectives, detailed below:

  • I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
  • A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
  • A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
  • Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
  • Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.

While some achievements are straightforward, others require a bit more effort. Below, I’ll explain how to unlock each one in detail.

I Caught a Shooting Star!

To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip some screamer pods and keep an eye out for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. Use the screamer pods to stun it, then quickly catch it with your Capture Net.

A Prize Held High

This achievement can be earned on any map by finding tight corners and dead ends. Go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and locate the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab that appears there. Alma will often comment when you’re near a creature with the Ancient Wyvern Coin, hinting at its presence.

A Legacy Restored

Once you reach High Rank missions, start crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear.

Seasoned Hunter

Don’t confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied ones; the former are outlined in purple on the minimap, while the latter are outlined in red. Both slaying and capturing Tempered monsters will contribute to this achievement. These monsters start appearing from Chapter 4 onwards, once you enter High Rank content.

Top of the Food Chain

This achievement involves hunting 50 Apex Predators. Only the following monsters count towards this goal: Rey, Dau, Uth, Duna, Nu, Udra, and Jin Dahaad.

By following these steps, you'll unlock all the hidden achievements in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, including the best gathering set to use, be sure to visit The Escapist.
