Published under DC's All In initiative, the series represents a creative homecoming for both Rucka and Scott. The writer previously featured Cheetah prominently during his Wonder Woman tenure, while artist Scott co-created memorable Cheshire moments in Gail Simone's Secret Six series.
The official DC synopsis promises:
This high-stakes series follows master thieves Cheetah and Cheshire as they assemble an elite crew to penetrate the most secure location in the DC Universe. Their objective? Steal an immensely powerful device while outmaneuvering the Justice League's orbital Watchtower defenses and its advanced AI security systems.
"Let's be clear," Rucka emphasized in his announcement. "Our protagonists are career criminals attempting what even supervillains consider impossible. The Watchtower wasn't designed to be breached, but Cheetah's desperation demands this gamble - failure isn't an option for her."
The creative team includes colorist Annette Kwok and letterer Troy Peteri. Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1 launches August 6, 2025.
