Following the removal of Marvel Snap from app stores in the aftermath of Bytedance's TikTok ban, developer Second Dinner has severed ties with its publisher, Nuverse. The studio announced a new partnership with US-based publisher Skystone Games via its official Twitter account.
This move concludes a turbulent period for several titles published by Nuverse and other Bytedance subsidiaries, including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Marvel Snap, all caught in the crossfire of the recent TikTok ban. Bytedance's actions, which temporarily deprived users of access to these apps, prompted a swift response, ultimately leading to the restoration of TikTok's services. However, other gaming titles were seemingly left stranded. Second Dinner, notably, received no prior notification of Marvel Snap's removal and spent weeks working to restore its availability.
The Fallout for Nuverse
